Question: Do I work because I want to be a better mother (provide more for my family and demonstrate for my daughter how you can “have” it all? Or am I a better mother because I went back to work? K is independant and has learned how to get along with alot of different types of people because I am not around alot to intervene and protect her. Today, I am going to explore this question and identify various sites that have lent a hand in allowing me to contine to work and spend the invaluable time that I NEED each day to be with my daughter.

Ah! If I am your first poster then I am indeed honored!
I’ve struggled with this issue for so many years. Of course I no longer have the choice to not work. But I’ve found that as Z has gotten older, he has learned the value of hard work when compared to the other option–you KNOW who I’m referring to. Also. I make sure that I engage in activities with him that we can do together & I think that has made all the difference in the world. When he grows up he will have memories of the amount of time & quality of time we spent together with our taekwondo as well as our racing. I wouldn’t trade that for the world!
Moms that ask if they are doing a good job are the moms who already are.
K will be a wonderful person because of who you and your hubs are more than what you do.
You are fab people. I know.
